Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern

Hi, I’m Elizabeth Escuage, MSW~

Do you often find your thoughts spiraling out of control? Do you feel like there’s a weight on your shoulders that you just can’t shake? Are you worried about your teenager or child? Are you a young adult overwhelmed by the constant wave of life transitions?

Breakups, anxiety, depression, and loss are all part of being human. Life can feel like a cycle of rupture and repair. However, the commonality of these experiences does not make them any less difficult to navigate.

Take a moment right now. Breathe. Give yourself credit for getting this far. The first step toward getting help is often the most challenging. It’s easy to “shop around” for services, click through different profiles, and tell yourself you’ll come back to it later. That tug in your gut—the one telling you that therapy might help—can be scary, especially if it’s unfamiliar. But I encourage you to listen to that instinct. Together, we can explore ways to organize that proverbial shelf of struggles—or maybe even dismantle it altogether.

I’m passionate about helping you help yourself. You are the expert in your life. I bring expertise in therapy and mental health. Together, we can chart a path toward a happier, healthier you.

I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. My training includes coursework in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Process/Behavioral Addictions, Child Welfare, and Psychopharmacology. As an undergraduate, I worked as a research assistant and conducted my own research in the Psychology department on the relationship between emotion and memory in young and older adults. Clinically, I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults, and most recently served as a social work intern at a local middle school. There, I received specialized training in school-based mental health services, including Trauma-Informed Care, CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

Aside from my passion for mental health, I share nearly equal excitement about a good beach day and a good thrift store. I was born and raised in South Florida, so I grew up loving the sunshine and culture. I also love spending time with animals. If you have one near you right now, tell them I said hi!

I look forward to meeting you where you are and beginning this journey together.
