A Season for Healing Starts Here

Do you feel overwhelmed by anxiety, sadness, or stress more days than not? Are you navigating a major life change, grieving a loss, or struggling to understand recurring patterns in your life? At Seasons Psychotherapy Associates, we believe that meaningful change is possible—and individual therapy is often the first step toward that transformation.

Whether you’re seeking support for a specific issue or exploring personal growth more broadly, our therapists are here to help you gain clarity, build emotional resilience, and move forward with purpose.

At Seasons Psychotherapy Associates, our therapists use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process and heal from distressing experiences. This evidence-based therapy is especially effective for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and other overwhelming memories that may feel “stuck.”

What Is EMDR?

EMDR is a structured therapy that uses guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation (such as tapping or sound) while you recall a painful memory. The process helps the brain reprocess these memories so that they no longer feel as overwhelming, reducing their emotional impact and creating space for healing.

What EMDR Therapy Looks Like

An EMDR session looks a little different from traditional therapy. You and your therapist will first spend time building trust, strengthening coping skills, and choosing which memories to work on together. During the reprocessing phase, your therapist will guide you through eye movements or other forms of stimulation while you revisit distressing memories in a safe, structured way.

Our Approach to EMDR at Seasons

At Seasons, we view EMDR as one of many tools that can support healing — not the only one. Not every therapist at Seasons is trained in EMDR, and not every client will need or want this approach. We integrate EMDR when it feels like the right fit, always respecting your pace and readiness.

Curious if EMDR could be right for you? We’re here to talk about it — no pressure, just possibilities.
