Hi, I’m Julia Debs, LMFT~

I’m passionate about working with children, adolescents, and young adults in therapy, providing a nurturing and empowering space for their emotional well-being and growth.

With genuine care and a deep understanding of children’s therapeutic needs, I strive to create a warm and compassionate environment where they can thrive. Building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust and empathy is at the core of my approach.

I specialize in utilizing both EMDR therapy and play therapy techniques, tailoring each session to meet your child’s specific requirements.

EMDR therapy enables us to address and process any trauma or emotional difficulties they may be facing, fostering healing and resilience. Meanwhile, play therapy offers a creative and engaging outlet for children to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and supportive space.

But my passion extends beyond working with children; I also have extensive experience and a deep interest in working with teenagers and young adults. I understand the unique challenges they face as they navigate their identities, relationships, and the complexities of adulthood.

I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for teenagers and young adults to freely express themselves, explore their emotions, and gain insights into their thoughts and behaviors. My approach is collaborative and tailored to their individual needs and goals. I empower them to take an active role in their therapy journey, helping them develop skills for effective communication, stress management, and decision-making.

Utilizing evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy, I assist teenagers and young adults in developing self-awareness, challenging unhelpful patterns of thinking, and exploring practical strategies for personal growth and problem-solving.

Building a strong therapeutic alliance based on trust, respect, and confidentiality is of utmost importance to me. I create a supportive and empathetic environment where children, teens, and young adults feel safe to explore their inner selves, develop their strengths, and overcome obstacles.

My work brings me immense joy and fulfillment. I’m committed to guiding my clients through life’s challenges, nurturing their resilience, and empowering them to discover their inner strength. Together, let’s embark on a therapeutic journey that unlocks their full potential and facilitates their holistic growth.

I graduated with my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, and am also a proud alumni of the University of South Florida for my undergraduate studies.
